Project Brief
"The Enchanted Woods" was a class project led by Professor Greg Andrade. For this assignment the students acted collaboratively as a design studio. Our task was to theoretically rework "The London Project" Paramount Park that was in development. Our final deliverable was a concept design package.
Our class focused on a single land within the park, then called, "The Woods." I wrote an original fairy tale that acted as a backstory that informed our design choices.
Role on Project
Illustrator, Art director, and Writer.
Concept
In "The Enchanted Woods" guests find themselves wandering a magical fairy tale world, where they will experience attractions, market places, and dining that feature some of their favorite characters, who have been living beyond the pages of their original stories in this enchanted place.
Story
Once there was a young enchantress who was prophesied to be the most powerful ever known. A witch, envious of the young girls power, meant to kill the budding enchantress. To evade her haggard foe, the girl created a fairy tale safe haven for her self. In "The Enchanted Woods" she grew her power as she hid from the evil witch, and took solace in the company of the fairy tale characters she brought to life, and the magical world she grew from the earth.
